Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament:

Confessions Penitential Service: Takes place on Wed 21st Dec in Abbeylara at 8pm. A number of visiting priests will be available for individual Confessions.

50th International Eucharistic Congress: – Takes place from June 10th to 17th 2012 in Dublin. Our Christmas spiritual preparation can also help our preparation for the congress

Gun Club: The Club are having their annual Christmas draw in Crawford’s lounge on Saturday. Dec the 17th. Music on the night by Na Fianna. Everyone welcome

Abbeylara Tidy Towns: Abbeylara Tidy Town would like to thank all those who attended their Annual Christmas Draw and Party in Crawford’s lounge on Saturday night last Dec. 10th. A good night was had by all. Full details in next bulletin.
Abbeylara Community Alert: Meeting took place last Tue 13th in the Sports Centre with over twenty people in attendance. Garda Tracey Shanley, Community Garda Granard Area gave us a very informative presentation on many aspects of security and the prevention of crime. It was agreed at the meeting for representatives from the townlands to call and procure the mobile numbers of the residence with a subscription fee of €5 to cover operating costs for one year. Next meeting will be 17th January at 8pm. Large attendance expected.
Abbeylara GAA Club Race Night: Will take place Monday 26th Dec. (St. Stephen’s Day) in Crawford’s at 8pm. Lines on sale around the parish for €5 per horse and €5 per jockey. As this is one of the club’s major fund raiser of the year we request and need your support please. Anyone still with cards and money please return them immediately. Meeting of the club’s officers and committee on Tuesday 20th Dec. in the Sports Centre at 9.30 p.m. to arrange the race night
